Gorman Houston and his Character

Hear is a quick quote from a recent article on Justice Gorman Houston who recently retired from the Alabama Supreme Court.  I originally wrote questioning his Christian character back in September of 2003 during his involvement in removing then sitting Chief Justice Roy Moore.  Flashback
It appears that Gorman is still struggling with his character and what is appropriate for a Christian to be involved in.  If a so called good Christian man has this much trouble trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong, what hope is there for the average “non-Christian” man?  Alabama needs some new leadership.  Someone who has character and who is willing to stand for what is right without regard to their political career or financial well being.  Roy Moore has proved to be such a man.  The question that remains is will the people of Alabama have the courage to elect him?
The complaint again Gorman Houston was filed by Dean Johnson a lawyer from Huntsville, and regardless of how the ethics committee actually responds, the facts are fairly revealing of Justice Houston’s character.

He said Houston is doing work for the firm after participating as a judge when the court reversed a $3.5 billion judgment against Exxon-Mobil in a dispute with the state over royalties.

“Gorman Houston is working for the firm representing Exxon-Mobil, in one of the biggest cases in Alabama history,” Johnson said in a written statement. “However, as recent as 2003, Houston was involved in the case as a justice.”
