Time of Thanks

We enjoyed a joyous Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving Eve, we spent the day cooking and baking: Grandmother Davis’ cornbread dressing (passed down from her mother), fresh cranberry sauce, old fashion sweet potatoes with walnut topping, pumpkin pie. We decided that a 16 lb turkey isn’t near enough. We will have to make two turkeys next year to provide left overs. Next year we hope to raise our own Turkeys, memorize the Thanksgiving play we read this year, celebrate longer, tell more stories and have more people over to remember this wonderful occasion.
